I have not been able to confirm that. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I find out the names of the grouds crew?

He was to supervise the unloading of the Hindenburg when it landed in Lakehurst on May 6’37. as we know, that didn’t happen. Henry had been sent from the Hamburg-American Line. He met the Second Officer, Heinrich Bauer, when he ran from the ship. Bauer spoke to Henry and said, “Thank God I’m alive.”

Dear Mr. Walters,

I am a researcher at the University of Maryland working on a biography for who I believe is your father (among others). Our goal is to compile a series of bios for alumni veterans to be put in a book of honor to be displayed in the Memorial Chapel at the College Park campus. I would be very interested in speaking to you or anyone else about Julian Fairfax Walters, please contact me if you would like to be a part of this process.

Thanks very much, Michael Irving

First of all nice website about the Hindenburg. I got a quick question how many Hindenburg videos are there? Because someone mentioned he saw a rocket hitting the hindenburg in one of the videos.

You might try contacting the Navy Lakehurst Historical Society to see if they have any records which might include that information.

Thank you,

I had heard that it flew up the Bras D’Or Lake and nearly hit the Grand Narrows Railway Bridge in Cape Breton the day before the disaster.

I was familiar with some of them before, but not all.

I would add that the small table to the far right includes members of the German Commission. From extreme right, Walter Hoffman, Max Dieckmann, and Guenther Bock. I’m not sure who the man in the black, round-rimmed glasses is. It’s definitely not Breithaupt, Duerr, or Eckener. My assumption is that he’s perhaps one of the translators.
